Entangled is a generative composition that explores the paradox between visual simplicity and structural complexity. Rooted in a minimalist aesthetic using only black and white, the work interweaves curves and geometric patterns within a strict grid, creating a dense, hypnotic, and deeply ordered visual fabric.
The piece reflects on how what we perceive as chaotic or free is, in fact, governed by invisible structures. Every line and arc follows a precise mathematical logic, and their combination generates a sensation of mental entanglement—as if each element were silently connected to all others through a hidden network of formal relationships.
Entangled is born from the idea that beauty requires no ornament; it is enough to reveal the harmonic tension between parts. Created with JavaScript and p5.js, and conceived as a piece to be translated onto canvas, this project is an exercise in formal restraint and conceptual depth.
Fabián Buitrago is a Colombian visual artist and architect whose work fuses code, geometry, and physical materials. A graduate of Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, he explores the relationship between structure and beauty through generative systems translated into physical paintings. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including shows in New York, Miami, and Bogotá, and events such as NFT.NYC and Blockchain Summit Latam. Through his practice, Buitrago seeks to reveal the hidden harmony behind apparent chaos.
